Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
I don't think anyone doubted this batting line up's ability to get duffed for under 100. No one mentioned Root in the drop them stakes, but he can't spell "bat" at the moment and some of his captaincy has been mysterious. I think it might be gamble time. For me Roy, Denly and Buttler go with possibly Root too.
As for "we've got no one", Labuchagne was playing for Glamorgan.

And a fair opinion it is too. I just choose to sit nowhere near them and let them crack on with it. Really not sure how they're 'bad' for cricket, Chief.nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 9:04 amBruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 7:38 pmMy highlight of today was watching Jofra Archer nick that inflatable melon back of that jobsworth steward and bat it back into the crowdTANGODANCER wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 7:19 pmCricket is supposed to be joyful and spirit-lifting, not depressing and soul-destroying.

I don't see England hitting 350 nor batting a day and a half, they might as well get pissed and party. Just want to see Jofra stick a few to Cummins.

Just the procession to go now. The 1st innings summary scorecard shows England's two highest scorers and reads Denly 12, Roy 9. Be a good one to win from here.

Good one to win!
Certainly not short of time, about 1.9 an over should see us over the line. Where's Chris Tavaré when you need him.

Just take it in to tomorrow. Even that would feel like an achievement at this point.

It was a real privilege to watch England's second highest partnership of the match develop in the 4 overs before lunch.

Thoroughly unconvincing Denly hits the dangerous dozen again.

Now would be a good time for Root to start converting!

I just think it's bad in the sense that it attracts a boorish element who have zero interest in the sport but just go for a day out on the razz. No doubt it's financially beneficial, and obviously no-one's forced to sit in the "party stand", but even when sat in the other areas there's still no way to avoid hearing the droning sound of the afternoon's 250th "Don't take me home" chant.
As I say though, it's just a personal thing.

A strike rate of 4.00 after 50 balls is worthy of mention in context.
