Living near Newcastle I went to the game last night, best £20 ever spent!! Newcastle are probably the worst defensive team in the history of the prem, a back 4 of solano, ramage, taylor, huntington, most teams in the championship wouldnt take that. I know they have injuries but players like dyer and milner looked dreadful.
Also credit to B'ham, how many teams would go away from home against higher leagued opposition and play 3 out n out strikers, Newcastle didnt know how to cope with it.
Last point, the ground is 1st class but f*ck me, the atmosphere at newcastle is wank, so glad I go to the reebok more often than there!!

He didn't use it last night, but has used it plenty in the past. Steve Bruce tried to claim Newcastles poor performance on injuries. Remember though, that was the same Newcastle starting XI as that who beat Spurs.keveh wrote:He is a smug bastard, but fair play to him because he hasn't used that as an excuse, when near enough every manager would be complaining about it. *cough*mourhino*cough*hisroyalgingerness wrote:Bear in mind Souness was allegedly sacked after the chairman grew tired of him moaning about injuries, Roeder was asked last night “do you feel the injury situation caught up with you”
Roeder started smirking, a smug little slit appeared in his face, his eyes visibly grinning even if his mouth wasn’t quite and he had a sly glance at the camera and said
“I won’t use that as an excuse”
Work was fun, though. The Jawdees weren't happy!
