Sorry but I really couldn't give a rat's ass about Michael Jackson passing on.Worthy4England wrote:Yeah - I'm waiting in anticipation of General Mannerheim logging in. I understand many many many people loved Michael for his music, dancing and entertainment. I personally never found the boy entertaining and thus maybe that is why the accusations regarding his fiddling young boys kind of outweighs his talent in my books or maybe it's because I am disgusted by that type of illegal immoral behaviour. Others I understand can overlook those accusations because they loved his music.
When Michael was in Bangkok that was the first time the news broke concerning his pedophile activities. As you are all aware Thailand has problems with pedophiles touring the country. While not so visible today 15 years ago in Pattaya it was visibly right in your face. It makes you sick to your stomach seeing some old f77k with a 10 yr old walking down the street or holding hands in a dark seedy bar.
I know many of you will say that it was never proven regarding Michael. All I can retort to that is would you let your young child stay on a sleep over at Michael's house?
So in my books it is simply one less predator on the planet.
If the courts say he's innocent, then that's good enough for me. Can't be doing with the 'trial by media' bollocks, whereby even being found not guilty isn't enough to prove you're innocence.
Anyway, I just think the whole thing is sad. He made fantastic music, and yet appears to have lived a life that has been, for a sizeable chunk of it, miserable.

The post mortem is today but the full toxicology report will take longer. Most people close to him say too many prescription drugs and his heart couldn't take it. Shades of Heath Ledger. I was not a fan except when he was the cute little kid with four siblings. Like Sean, I was concerned about the private life - sure he was not convicted but then nor was OJ. Bad week for Hollywood with Ed and Farah as well.

Pretty much sums up my feelings. I won't shed a tear, I did't know the bloke.Tombwfc wrote:If the courts say he's innocent, then that's good enough for me. Can't be doing with the 'trial by media' bollocks, whereby even being found not guilty isn't enough to prove you're innocence.

I wonder if he ever had a moment in his life where he was truly happy though.

Well, such parents exist FD and many come for less than 22 million. Indeed one cannot change the past but one could buy a lot of therapy for the child with that money. I admire your principles but to assume that such parents don't exist is simple naivety.FD wrote:You think so?
I don't know a parent in the world who'd take cash over putting away the person who alledgedly assaulted their child. Not just to take the money for something like that, but to take the money and allow them to "walk the streets" so they could do it again.

I think they are few and far between mate, sorry.
You are talking about SEXUAL ASSAULT on a child, and that the parent is willing to accept a payment for such a crime, that makes them pratically complicit in the act for me.,
Also, it's not about princibles, I'm a father, there is NO money on earth that would pay me off for somone abusing my child. Even if I could accept my child would need therapy and we'd be rich, I could never live with the guilt of letting that person go free.

You wouldn't have let your kid stay overnight with michael in the first place. You have to remember the types of parents they were in the 1st place to expose the child originally.FD wrote:I think they are few and far between mate, sorry.
