Two of my favourites...
Harry: "No, it's a cardigan but thanks for asking!"
---
Cop: "Gimme that booze you pumpkin pie haircutted freak"
Such a fantastic film - have seen it hundreds of times but it still brings a massive smile to my face.

Some of the best one liners in film history.
"Killer boots man!"
Harry: "No, it's a cardigan but thanks for asking!"

School of Rock - tonight 8.00pm Channel 4
Really good film for all the family.
Jack Black is outstanding as an unemployed rock guitarist who passes himself off as a supply teacher and enlightens sheltered pupils with the joys of rock and roll.
My daughter loves this film - and much to my surprise - so did I.

Forgotten about "Brassed Off", fantastic film. Osca-rated performance by Pete Postlethwaite for me. Loved the music too, especially the version of "Concierto Aranhuez". Great stuff. Got "The Magdalen Sisters" on tape yet to watch. Brilliant Irish folk music intro.

Bluntly put Bruce, to say the least, but you're right. I got my films mixed up and I'm fxxxxd if I can remember the name of the one I meant. It was an Irish film and the one were a bunch of lads climbed up a tree to do a peeping Tom on a woman.Bruce Rioja wrote:Tango, since when in the feck was a film about the consumption and an alcoholic father either a 'feel-good' movie, or indeed a "good-laugh"?TANGODANCER wrote:Just rmembered two really good-laugh entries: "Waking Ned" and " Angela's Ashes"
Angela's Ashes was indeed grim. Appologies for the error.

My wife likes to watch "You've Got Mail" to cheer her up. My daughter likes "Annie" for the same reason.
And, as its nearly Christmas, I'd go for "Miracle on 34th Street", the Richard Attenborough 1994 version.

Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

I can feel my teeth rotting as I watch it, it's that sickly sweet but it doesn't stop me doing so all the same.FaninOz wrote: And, as its nearly Christmas, I'd go for "Miracle on 34th Street", the Richard Attenborough 1994 version.
