Just the totals.Bruce Rioja wrote:Err, I've just thought - I've no idea how the vote's being counted, in that, will it just be a total number (out of everyone that voted, x million voted yes and x million no)? Or will it be done on constituances? Sorry for what will appear to be a proper numb-arsed question but I genuinely don't know.
Was a yes from me.

Jawohl fur uns an al.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Justine Greening on "The World Tonight" says that looking around a (Westminster) coalition ministerial meeting you cannot tell who are the Conservatives and who are the Lib Dems. Or as George Orwell put it: "(They) looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again, but already it was impossible to say which was which.” (Animal Farm, last page)

Re: The Politics Thread
I was at a local strategic meeting this week for Havering which involved the PCT, the council and the voluntary sector...
in Havering two doctors consortiums are vying for prominence (on the back of Lansley's reforms) - one called "Doctors First" and the other called "Doctors Premier" (I kid you not!)
(it won't be long before they are calling themselves AAAAAAAADoctors First and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADoctors Premier - to gain top billing in Yellow Pages.)
anyway...
NHS doctors and consultants are (allegedly) tearing their hair out with all the time it is taking them to pander to both of these consortia with the constant complaints that they are favouring one over the other with NHS services...
brave new world....

"We should never have forgotten the Tories are a political killing machine."
"they closed rank in Spartan fashion"
...sounds suspiciously like praise to me!

But still it was a comment that made no sense and has no bearing on the issue you describe.

Yeay, straight down to Talibs for a ski jumper and a pair of stonewashed Dam Yankee jeans
I don't mind there being a north/south divide just so long as I'm on the northern side of it!

I've often wondered about whether a big wall would be a good idea.Bruce Rioja wrote:Yeay, straight down to Talibs for a ski jumper and a pair of stonewashed Dam Yankee jeans

But where would it be, north of Watford gap? Or through Brum? Or north of Brum?
To be honest perhaps we could just build it round the South East corner....
