Re: The athletics/running thread
Day 5 abs and squats is having to wait til garlic bread, pizza and 2 large chocolate chip cookies have been digested.
C'mon, there must be more then just me and GtE giving this a go? Harry? It doesn't involve your poorly ankle. Bruce? Bish? Pru? LE? After all it's easy peasey, LLS says so.

I would but I really can't be arsed. I'm enjoying the enforced rest. I do tend to do 100 second planks every other day but I'm not confident I'd do crunches correctly and end up knackering mi back inGooner Girl wrote:Day 5 abs and squats is having to wait til garlic bread, pizza and 2 large chocolate chip cookies have been digested.![]()

Last night I didn't feel like much so I did my Day 5
Then I felt guilty about not doing much so went for a 2 mile run.
Then I did my 1 minute plank.

On my way back from Rutland Water after conpleting Dambuster Triathlon. Despite my chain coming off and my wetsuit not (3 minutes in T1) I still managed to get under 3 hours. By 30 seconds.
Have to say also what a beautiful venue Rutland Water is. Just stunning.
But the hills around Preston have ripped my quads to shreds.

(I can never get my wetsuit off - it usually takes me 40 minutes - and that's just to reach around and get the zip undone!)

Get someone else to give you a reacharound, it will come off quicker.thebish wrote:you really are a titan!Gary the Enfield wrote:On my way back from Rutland Water after conpleting Dambuster Triathlon. Well done to GtE too, must have been hot work yesterday.
Watching the athletics at the mo, not seen Harry on the telly yet, I assumed when he said he was going to Germany he meant he had been chosen to compete after his recent epic track race?

Re: The athletics/running thread
Been out for a run, ridiculously hot still even at 8pm. I was sooo slow, partly due to the 2 doughnuts and ice lolly i had today I guess, as well as the heat, but glad I went. Got 2 sets of abs and squats to do now.
Mr GG went out today too for the first time in about 3 years I reckon.

Scary. You wouldn't want to meet me on a dark night! Its a good job the streets of Lindfield are pretty deserted on a Sunday evening!Burnden Paddock wrote:What were you like after the run?Gooner Girl wrote:Haha, I wish! Re: The athletics/running thread
Ugh, just got back from Harriers. The year 8's were little brats at Long Jump tonight and then I did a Triple Jump session which I totally sucked at before a short run. Supposed to be competing in a few weeks, having second thoughts now.
