What are you playing tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Arcade Fire are indeed awesome...incredible live too. Saw them last year at Manchester Academy.

I'm currently blasting out some power ballads.

First saw them do 'Power Out' on Jules Holland in May last year and had one of those "Wow, who the feck are they?" moments. Been telling anybody that'll listen (and a few that won't) about them ever since. Absolutely superb band.

Went to see Badly Drawn Boy in Sheffield last night, it was a quality gig apart from the fact it ended about 10,though it did start about half 7.

He was as superb as usual, but something was troubling him - problems in his life and then his guitars weren't working properly - then this guy shouted out "you sound like you mean it" and he just went mad and had a go at him for a few minutes. It was hilarious.

No really went with the wife and thought it was gonna be shit, but she was really good. There was a guy on before hand doing an acoustic set who was even better.

Hmmm. He headlined this Kosovan benefit thing that I went to in Manny last month. I've never really got whatever it is that so many other people do when it comes to Badly Drawn Boy, so there I stood hoping to be impressed, yet all I got was a prima donna tosser shreeking at his crew about stuff like the pitch of his piano, then turning on the crowd when they suggest that he "just get on with it". He even made Elton John look sufferable. (Steady  )
Also, Elbow, a band that I've never really bothered with before gave an absolutely stunningly professional performance and a brilliant set. You just get to realise that sometimes some people want it more and use the stage to prove a point whereas some people have taken more of the limelight than their talent deserves and treat it as a birthright!
