Currently falling in love with it all over again. Wonderful stuff.

I'd got this for my birthday in August but had only got round to listening to it the once. Took it with us to Wales this week. What a feckin album - we played it almost constantly. On the strength of it, I've ordered 2 of their other albums and we'll be off to see em at the Ritz in February.
Lyrically superb and every track a belter

Glad you like it, Harry. They're playing the Ritz in Feb? You beauty - I'm on it. Great live band and a cracking venue.
Really, really hope that they play this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDsd_covtGo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which, strangely enough, sounds feck all like Mumford and Sons.

Does "top shite" = good or bad?
One of my nephews informed me last week that to use the term "Cool" is actually no longer cool at all, and these days the mot juste is in fact "Sick". "Get up that chimney and get it swept, you little nice person" drew a complete blank from him

Shostakovich Trio for Piano, Violin and Violoncello no 2...
Wonderful... my favourite piece of 20th century music...
A youtube clip of the end of the great 4th movement which I love not only for the music but for the sight of the musicians so totally taken over by their work...

BBC Four has become renowned for its Friday night music documentaries on artists including Prince, Chas And Dave and Squeeze.
Klein said the channel's new album show, fronted by Baker, "won't be the top 10 that it usually is".
"We're going to celebrate the album. There's a 'golden age of the album' which we're going to look at," he said.
"It's not a list show. The principal point about the golden age of the album is to say: what is it that makes an album great? What are the qualities you need to have?"
Baker, who still broadcasts on BBC Radio 5 live, bowed out of his afternoon BBC London programme with a two-hour on-air rant earlier this month, after he learned from his agent that the show would be axed later this year.
The presenter hit out repeatedly at the BBC during the programme, in which he called his bosses "weasels".

I will (when this is released) be listening to this...

Although it has not been released yet. I've been waiting 40 odd years for this.

He was on, well, in the background having a pint, during Later with JH on Tuesday evening but contractually wasn't allowed to say anything, yet apparently is allowed to on the one that goes out tomorrow. Not sure what all that's about.
