Did we actuallt claim Persia, Tango? India, yes, until 1947 and Newfoundland until 1949 - but Perisa?

Ah, I was speaking of names only Monty, not possessions, ie names "we" had in atlases.

OIC. Yes, well the names have changed so much that I'm not sure where some of them are now. City names too which doesn't help. Even if the name is the same the transliterastion can change - Peking to Beijing.

Talk of maps has got me thinking. Way back in time I sent off somewhere for four maps of England,Ireland, Scotland and Wales. They were copies of 17th century originals by John Speed. Something tells me I might still have them tucked away somewhere. I'll have to have a root around.

I've taken some time to look at this and it doesn't pass the specific tests I've set it:
There is no way the proportion of Netherlands/Belgium equates to same proportion as France. Or Italy to eastern Europe - not even close. India and France comparisons on that map are ridiculous...
and Italy to India even worse...
But I do get the principle...

There was square km data to support the principle - they are just not very good at jigsaws.

Is this true?
Theresa May, apparently sees herself as being above the Law of the Land, some kind of superior being to the rest of us,, and she is far from being alone.
The law states, not Parliament's commercial legislation, providing we do not harm, or injure anyone, cause loss or damage to their property: act dishonestly in our dealings: cause a breach of the peace, or act in mischief - we have not broken the law.

Every time a police officer, or any other public servant imposes legislation upon an individual they act beyond and outside of their lawful powers, using extortion and threats, to raise revenue through equally unlawful fines. (Fines and threats of fines on particular persons before conviction in a court of law are illegal and banned. Bill of Rights.)

Oh yes, they act under orders and through ignorance of the law, though you and I are told that is no excuse. However, we can volunteer to become subject to legislation and abandon our protection of Common Law, and who but an idiot would knowingly do so?

Aware of this, the police are trained, unwittingly, to trick us into doing just that, through legal, verbal trickery, Legalese, a form of obtaining consent by secretly changing the meaning of certain words.
"Do you understand?" This question is always asked by a police officer who is about to either arrest or hit you with a fine. You and I believe they are asking if we understand, as in comprehend, the reason we are being punished - not so. In Legalese, Do you understand is an abbreviation of. "Do you agree to 'stand under my authority' to impose legislation over your Common Law Rights?"
Magistrates, use the same deception by seeking your compliance to their authority, which as the can only raise revenue by enforcing legislation upon us, needs our consent. "Please stand in the dock."
"I prefer not to, unless someone is accusing me of wringing them?"
