Re: Checkmate...
If Dan didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
But not BL3.
Sorry for the delay Monty, we're at a critical point in the game and I will get back to it later on. Still can't believe I managed to even tread water in this one. Make up for the debacle last time.

No worries - I went to watch a movie. You are back now and so is Prufrock. Dan has ignored my challenge.Jakerbeef wrote:If Dan didn't exist, it would be necessary to invent him.

But now kinty has challenged me again. Each game he comes at me harder and faster, bigger and badder, meaner and madder. All rather alarming.

Just as easily two losses - good thing you lack the patience for a 200 move endgame.mrkint wrote:Meh, you've got nothing to worry about anyway...a win and a draw so far!

Alright MW I have excepted both of your challenges. I have also accepted a challenge from Jakerbeef. Now have 4 games on the go as I am playing LLS as well.Montreal Wanderer wrote:No worries - I went to watch a movie. You are back now and so is Prufrock. I've got four games going, where the opening choice was random, and I'm black in all four!

Re: Checkmate...
I have five (but Dan twice and he doesn't move too often). It is always random for me but if you have played the person before it alternates. It generally seems to give the lower rated player white on the first meeting based on my experience (as was the case with our game). I see you are using the old goose wing pawn formation against Ragamuffin!Lost Leopard Spot wrote:I've got four games going, where the opening choice was random, and I'm black in all four!

Re: Checkmate...
Raggamufin [sic] is the gobby Brummie who gave me some lip in the chat box. Revenge, as they say, is best as a dish served cold. I've got him on the ropes (I think) - although I thought that a couple of moves ago where pushing my top pawn was not only supposed to develop a revealed check but also when he moved his king to the left would have allowed me to take his bishop AND have both his castles en prise! And what did he do: he moved his king to the right, the bugger. But, I'll have him (I need a shaking fist emoticon...).Montreal Wanderer wrote:I have five (but Dan twice and he doesn't move too often). He moved like bloody greased lightning in our game. If you set the game back to the start and press that replay button, that's about the speed it developed in real time...Montreal Wanderer wrote:...Dan twice and he doesn't move too often...
