I find it a bit of a dirge, to be honest !Bruce Rioja wrote:You're joshing, right? (or you were feeling proper nowt at ten past three in the morning)Prufrock wrote:I'm listening to the single most beautiful piece of music ever written: Chopin's funeral march.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

chopin's nocturnes are where I'd go first, i think - but - chopin is a good deal more listenable than other stuff I have had a gander at when recommended on here!

A Gary Moore compilation. Saw him live about ten years ago. Awesome and a sad loss.

Didn't see him that recently, but saw him with both Lizzy and G-Force in the 1980's - great guitarist.Bijou Bob wrote:A Gary Moore compilation. Saw him live about ten years ago. Awesome and a sad loss.
Re: What are you playing tonight?
ha! just had my daughter get out of bed and shout at me to turn my music down because I had the Stones "Gimme Shelter" on loud followed by the much darker Sisters version!

Re: What are you playing tonight?
am threatened into mellower stuff while I avoid going out to do the garden... so - turned to an "unplugged" pretenders album (The Isle of View) and am listening to the unplugged/orchestral version of "kid" - had forgotten how ace that song is! mesmerised!

I've just watched and listened to that, Tango, and it truly is nowt more than rank average. What more do I need? Well, a bit of vocal range would be a decent starting point.TANGODANCER wrote:Good singer, top orchestra, great song. What more do you need?![]()
