It might be just that my flash player needs updating, but Monty your signature to me currently looks like a gigantic f*ck-you to the 2nd commandment!

The Daily Mail at it's best here, Ladies and Gentlemen.
Towing its usual line as to why we shouldn't be letting anyone in, whilst on the same front page claiming an Australian immigrant of Hungarian parentage to be 'one of our own' because she's a seemingly decent tennis player. I truly cannot believe that anybody actually takes out money from their pockets and exchanges it for this absolute 4uckwittery!

In their defence (spit) they are reporting what the PM said, rather than in this instance passing it off as their own particular brand of xenophobic bile.Bruce Rioja wrote:The Daily Mail at it's best here, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Clearly of far more importance than either of those is whether a wife could truly fancy a man who becomes a house husband. I suspect that particular question will cause some sleepless nights for some of the top thinkers amongst the Daily Mail readership.....

Indeed, but it plays into the hands of the readership and is an absolute shoe-in for the DM.BWFC_Insane wrote:

Perhaps xenophobes see the world differently from the rest of us, and it is deeply disrespectful to suppose they will change. Continuously pretending that xenophobes are somehow going to become like the rest of us is perhaps the deepest form of disrespect. Because what you are essentially saying is the fact they behave in a different way, some of which we may not like, is because they haven't yet seen the light. It may be that xenophobes see the world differently from the rest of us.BWFC_Insane wrote:In their defence (spit) they are reporting what the PM said, rather than in this instance passing it off as their own particular brand of xenophobic bile.Bruce Rioja wrote:The Daily Mail at it's best here, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Oh, that part of it. It is the 'pray' smilie saluting an image of the Montreal Canadiens - perhaps you get neither graphic. Since Les Boys have been playing like a reincarnation of BWFC in the last two months I may have to change the 'pray' - moon them or something.Prufrock wrote:It must be my flash player then

We've put them where they're going to be loved and accepted as part of a great Northern community.

I love how that story uses a headline photo that appears to imply that Bolton is one vast complex of cages.

Re: The wonderful EU and Migration thread!
In order to match England's population density of 413 people per square kilometre, European countries would have to take in the following numbers of migrants:-
Austria 26.4 million
Denmark 12.4 million
France 162.3 million
Germany 65.6 million
Greece 42.8 million
Italy 64.7 million
Poland 90.5 million
Spain 162.1 million
Sweden 176.3 million
Conversely, if England had the same population density as say France, it's population would be 14.5 million.

Well that's a load of bollocks. How much of that land is uninhabitable?Hoboh wrote:In order to match England's population density of 413 people per square kilometre, European countries would have to take in the following numbers of migrants:-

Well there's Yorkshire, Wales and London for a start...
Re: The wonderful EU and Migration thread!
I think the more apt question isBruce Rioja wrote:Well that's a load of bollocks. How much of that land is uninhabitable?Hoboh wrote:In order to match England's population density of 413 people per square kilometre, European countries would have to take in the following numbers of migrants:-

How much more land have we got that's inhabitable if we are choosing to go down that route!

No, we're going down the route that you've elected to post up as FACT. Mine is the 'apt' question here. Perhaps you'd care to answer it. I'm not even guessing that you're unable to.Hoboh wrote:I think the more apt question isBruce Rioja wrote:Well that's a load of bollocks. Re: The wonderful EU and Migration thread!
No, this question is apt. Why are you comparing England with France, thus leaving out much of the uninhabitable parts of the UK? The population of the UK is only 262 per square km. Canada has only 3.63 because we have an awful lot of land but inhabitability is a key issue. We could fit every refugee in the world on Ellesmere Island (much bigger than England but the population is currently 146) with lots of elbow room, but it might not be a success.Hoboh wrote:I think the more apt question isBruce Rioja wrote:Well that's a load of bollocks. Re: The wonderful EU and Migration thread!
Today's news showing migrant children's bodies washed up on a Turkish beach are truly heartbreaking, these migrants have to be desperate to even risk climbing aboard some of those dodgy boats,I also believe Angela Merkel was irresponsible last year, when she publicly stated,"Germany would take up to a million migrants".
