There are some really nice Turkish restaurants around the Dalston area, G. If you ever go out on the lash and are in need of more standard sustenance then you cannae go wrong with Damascus Bite near Broadgate Tower. Looks like a standard shit house takeaway dump but their kebabs are done with proper naan and really tender meat, absolutely tremendous.

Ive totally not seen this side of it, maybe because im not around at weekends, or perhaps because im up one end of it (seems to be a few areas claim to be Shoreditch) but i really like it. an awful lot of americans however...

Anyway Wahaca yesterday at the Olympic park. Creamed corn with Lancashire cheese. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Had a fantastic meal with Mrs GTE and little GTE before going to the Paralympic swimming. Sampled 5 or six dishes and sides between us and thoroughly enjoyed it. Reccommended, seconded and thirded.

Just with carrots, peas and a can of chopped tomatoes, and about a 1/4 pint of lamb stock. Chucked rosemary in with it. Needs seasoning too.
