Mega jealous, that looks awesome!
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Just to spice Riot Fest up that little bit more, this is happening:
10 Years. 10 Essential Albums. 10 Essential sets.
Jane’s Addiction: Nothing’s Shocking
The Offspring: Smash
Weezer: The Blue Album
Slayer: Reign in Blood
Samhain: Initium
NOFX: Punk In Drublic
Descendents: Milo Goes To College
Naked Raygun: Throb Throb
The Get Up Kids: Something To Write Home About
**One More TBA!
YES PLEASE! And I hope Slayer play a few other choice cuts off South of Heaven (my favourite).
If the **TBA is Smashing Pumpkins doing Siamese Dream I'm going to wet myself (It won't be, so I wont - but there is a Chicago link).

Looks a great line up Dr H. Can I recommend Clutch ? The acoustic version of 'Regulator' (Theme from Walking Dead? Dunno as I've never seen it); is one of my all time fave tunes.

Aye I'm fully aware of Clutch - one of the 11 or 12 'essentials' of mine on the bill. Seen them loads of times and they never disappoint!Il Pirate wrote:Looks a great line up Dr H. You'll kick yourself if you pass up on the opportunity to see SLF, Hotdog.

If you do see 'em, some other bugger will probably kick you anyhow.Bruce Rioja wrote:You'll kick yourself if you pass up on the opportunity to see SLF, Hotdog.

haha! truth! Stiff Little Fingers are on a list, but not the essential list. There's so much I'll be fatigued in no time. Might watch them from a ferris wheel....Worthy4England wrote:If you do see 'em, some other bugger will probably kick you anyhow.Bruce Rioja wrote:You'll kick yourself if you pass up on the opportunity to see SLF, Hotdog.

Currently inputting boring Curriculum level data to the tunes of Gary Moore's guitar. Easing the pain.

Just caught an Australian girl on Glasto by the name of Courtney Barnett. Never heard of her before but was quite impressed. First impressions are - catchy, intelligent and witty. Think I'll have a mooch around.

Saw her earlier on catch-up. Sounds a bit like Leonard Cohen

What else for this joyous summer's afternoon than a bit of drone from Sunn O)))
Nero fiddles while Gordon Burns.

Is that supposed to be music or 'white noise' used as a torture?KeyserSoze wrote:What else for this joyous summer's afternoon than a bit of drone from Sunn O)))

I listened to (most) of it yesterday and found it more than a little 'samey'.mrplow wrote:Can heartily recommend, her Double EP from last year is excellent.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just caught an Australian girl on Glasto by the name of Courtney Barnett. Can I assume she's purdy ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
