Looks fab! Can't wait to go get mine! Fingers crossed it stands 2 toddlers, 2 tree climbing cats and a dog with a very waggy tail.
Haha good luck with that!

No way, at the very LEAST a week before, preferably two weeks.

I can stretch to the weekend before.

Late afternoon of the 24th at that. It can come down on the 27th and think itself damn lucky.

Tree up next weekend.

I refuse to start thinking about Christmas until December.

We're away for most of the Christmas week anyway so the cat will be able to claw the sh*t out of the tree and decorations to its hearts content.

You lot aren't exactly overwhelmed with festive cheer. Think it's going to be down to us ladies of the forum to make the virtual paper chains and hang up the virtual tinsel, eh '89?

Missus is putting ours up a week today. Asked me if I wanted to help..

No point, because everything I do, will be re-done to a more exacting, feminine standard.

I love Christmas me.. It's absolutely ace.

I don't know why putting the tree up on the proper day is lacking in festive cheer...

it's kinda the same reasoning behind not eating my birthday cake and opening all my cards and having my family hang happy birthday sheets on the Chudleigh Bypass bridges a month before my birthday...

We've always done ours 12 days before until 12 days after. Dunno if that's a proper tradition.

I put mine up 12 days before but then take it back down before I go back to work.

if you follow the "rules" all decoration should be down before dusk of the 6th of Jan.

Hey, I don't make them. Don't shoot me.

It's looking that way!

It is meant to be up 12 days before and down 12 days after but like I said, I got excited! Can't go to the xmas markets then come back to an unfestive house!

I'm happy, this is the happy thread. Bog off scrooges!

Or is it the fifth? Big debate there!

I echo Bish's sentiments that wanting Christmas to be at Christmas doesn't make you Scrooge. I fecking love Xmas, especially since u moved away, all the more so because it's a very short, special period. Making it last from November till February waters it down and cheapens it. So ner.

Noddy was wrong. Christmas every day would be rubbish.
