I'm not sure why I'm sat here justifying this actually!
OK - I've bought a Christmas themed tub of Quality Street. Happy now?

Christmas tree and lights up in the Conservatory whilst Bobo was still mowing his lawn.
Christmas tree and lights up in the front when I got back from work yesterday...
Christmas markets on agenda for tomorrow @ 17:00.
Just the outside lights to go now....
And just had a mince pie.

I suppose we are somewhat more South than you, to be fair.Worthy4England wrote:Christmas tree and lights up in the Conservatory whilst Bobo was still mowing his lawn.
... & I was in that Manchester today, had lunch in Australasia (the restaurant, not the continent) and then wandered up to Albert Square past a large number of foreigners selling strange food at high prices.
It was a pleasant way to spend an hour though.

Oooh, I'm quite getting into the spirit of it now, Worthy. In the spirit of giving I've bought an exterior lighting display for your next door neighbour.Worthy4England wrote:Christmas tree and lights up in the Conservatory whilst Bobo was still mowing his lawn.

My seven year old car in for service and MOT. Rang up to check it out and it's passed MOT with flying colours and (wtf) full 10,000 mile service only cost me £160...

Ha ! Yep .... I can get that VAT is out of their hands, but not labour, but they bill it as if it was an afterthought.thebish wrote:^ made the same mistake when i looked at MY car service bill the other day... Re: Today I'm happy about......
Looking at the above posts I was becoming somewhat gloomy. I too have had questionable invoices from car services. However that gloom was lifted yesterday, courtesy of our motor bike riding postlady.
Late last week I ordered a couple of CD sets of Tommy Emmanuel at work. The first of those was the little package delivered by our aforementioned motor bike riding postlady. The other set will be a little while in arriving as it is apparently a 'special' order. So for a few hours I allowed myself to relax and listen, uninterrupted and with a brandy at hand, to 45 tracks of a very well produced selection of a guitar master's recordings. It turned out to be better than I had expected.
Ee 'eck, I'm ever so pleased.![Smile ](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
