I can't remember if we have already discussed going to Thornleigh at a similar time? I remember Helen from youth week (was that what it was called!?), she was okay - how times change!Beefheart wrote:There were none! It may also be of interest to you that the prostitute that Wayne Rooney shagged also went to Thornleigh, but she must have been a couple of years ahead of me.bobo the clown wrote:"She" and "Thornleigh" ..... wrong. Helen Flanagan likes to 'keep it fur-free' apparently. I bet she does.
Or is that Helen Flanagan-Enfield?[/quote
She was in my year at school at Thornleigh but then left to go to drama school, she was a right mosher. True story.
How did she pass the XI plus and entry exam ? That's what I want to know.
Other famous alumni from recent years include Danny from McFly and Tom from The Wanted (who from my recollection was an absolute tw*t)
Jenny Thompson (of Wayne Rooney fame) was in my year. Tom Parker was the year above me - he was alright!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I thought that the pro that Wayne Rooney scuttled was an old biddy. Have I got my wires crossed here? I wouldn't know Helen Flannigan if she turned up on my drive but I believe her to be remarkably thick though. Is that right?
May the bridges I burn light your way

By all accounts he's done both - a biddy and a prossie, sorry, escort....Bruce Rioja wrote:Ah, you went dressed as a turd as well, did you?89bwfc89 wrote:

Yeah she is - because she left Thornleigh

She's the one who was in Rosso at the same time as Balotelli, who apparently shout up and started chanting "he goes by the name of Wayne Rooney!"
She's also brought out a 'life story'.... Seriously.... No honestly.. and people are feckin' buying it!

She was in Fanny's with friends one night shortly after the Rooney thing and some drunken idiots started hurling abuse her way, ended up a in a bit of a scrap by all accounts.
Hard to find any sympathy for either side.

It didn't work out. At the first scan baby was found to have no heart beat and there had been no development after 10 weeks. The awful thing is though that she still had to carry the dead baby inside her another two weeks until an appointment could be arranged for a medical removal. That happened today and although she has just been transfered from Leigh to Wigan hospitals by ambulance and has lost a lot of blood, she will be okay we are assured. She already has three fantastic children but we were so looking forwards to this one too.clapton is god wrote:Just had some tremendous news that I'm not allowed to share with anyone. From a daughter. And they, women in general, that is, don't like sharing such news until its absolutely certain, say about 12 weeks certain. But, no, I'm not allowed to share so you'll all have to wait.
My wife's daughter fell pregnant with her first at around the same time, so we still have a May baby to look forwards to, but that pregnancy is bringing its own traumas too.

Oh mate, that's absolutely awful news. I sincerely hope that your daughter's OK, in every sense.

Really sorry to hear this Clapton but it is a lot more common than people think.clapton is god wrote:It didn't work out. My wife had four miscarriages all at that 8-10 weeks period. We had all sorts of tests carried out and they never found out the reason why. They just put it down to nature and things perhaps not developing as they should have been.
It is only when we told family or friends that others admitted that they also had past problems too.
I know it is not easy but tell her not to get too disheartened and not to put her off if you both want to try again. We have two children now so it can still happen.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

I'm so sorry, Clappers - good luck on the other pregnancy. Life can be very hard at times.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Thanks Monty and everyone else. Its been a rough couple of weeks with these two matters and another, which has also rocked the family. You know, you carry on with your lives thinking you are immune from the serious harm that you see happening to others and then suddenly you get a personal deluge of it. In just two months since September I have lost four close friends, then my daughter loses her child, and Mrs C's son-in-law turns out to be a complete and utter arse when needed most. And then another matter, which I wont go into for fear of provoking an already angry god. It seems we have a black cloud over us at the moment but it will pass on.
Apologies for polluting the Happy thread, by the way.

A month ago I mentioned I had sat what could quite possibly be my last exam ever. Found out at 8am this morning that I passed
A nice little bonus next month for a first time pass, then fully qualified (due to time) next May and a pay rise. I can start looking forward to Christmas now!

Re: Today I'm happy about......
The building that I work in (on the 4th Floor) lost the tenants on the 3rd floor last month, so they thought it was a good time to do the bogs up for when the new lot move in.
They finished it last night.
This is incredible news as it means I can nip downstairs and do my business in peace and tranquility. No longer do I have to listen to the sound of the Asian blokes in the next office washing their feet in the sink that I have to use to wash my hands and coughing up every last bit of green left in their throats.
This is the best Friday ever
