What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Tagine, nice and spicy. Chicken, green olives, preserved lemon...

I think the trustworthy Macon-villages, still 4.99 at Aldi...

I trim it off mostly. There isn't much on it, looks more than it is on the photo. It has a bit of a black ham taste with a hint of honey. Turned out quite well for my first one. Will have to do some experimenting I think.

Every Christmas one of my mate turns out a fantastically rare beef wellington and a ham that he's studded with cloves and soaked in full fat Coca Cola. Delish! ;)

Sounds delish :) I had cloves on this ham, just removed them so I don't accidentally bite one! The ham was cooked in molasses, orange peel, cloves and some spices. Amazing how much it infuses.

Oh absolutely. He gets is so that the pastry has taken on juice enough to flavour it without making it soggy, and the meat is rare but cooked through. Absolutely delicious.

Thats what the pancakes and mushroom duxelles were there for originally Bruce, to help soak up the juices avoiding soggy pastry.

Yesterday saw 19 friends and family dispose of giant hot pot, veggie tagine and teriyaki chicken with jewelled rice.

Eight bottles of Prosecco. Six of macon villages (hurray Aldi!). Six bottles of Rioja, and two portuguese reds from Naked Wines.

A dozen cans of coke. Sixteen bottles of Spanish beer.

I wonder how many were as hung over as me this morning...

The coke was too sugary I guess !! :conf:

just made a huge fish pie for tonight with 2lbs of fish-pie mix from the fresh fish shop... yum!! now - to find some time to eat any of it - it is possible that between my services the rest of the family will have scoffed the lot - leaving only the pasta bake that the missus made...
