This this this!ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Pesto on toast? Yuk.
BUT...
I do recommend....tomato puree on toast.
I do. In fact....even better, when making cheese on toast, spread tomatoe puree on the toast first, then put your grated cheese on and grill. It's like eating a pizza toast (as opposed to a piece of toast).

Got a kebab last night that was like any donner kebab except it was in a tray and completely submerged in a spicy tomatoey sauce. It was epic.

How do you make corned beef?bobo the clown wrote:Home made corned beef.
Cold sliced, with roast potatoes & some brilliant piccalilli
As far away from a tin of Frey Bentos as tuna steak is from tinned tuna.

Dont mind it there, mainly because the last two times we've been they forgot to charge us for all our drinks !Bruce Rioja wrote:Went to Latino Lounge last night. It was as average as average can be!

But the steak i had was very poor. Mussels were nice though.

The mussels that came with my dish last night were more of a beginner's guide to the clitoris.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Dont mind it there, mainly because the last two times we've been they forgot to charge us for all our drinks !Bruce Rioja wrote:Went to Latino Lounge last night. What's happening with the Thai place, Jimmy? Do you know? Peeped in through the window last night and they've ripped everything out of it.

Really? It was a bit odd, a Thai place doing a british carvery as well, so they were obviously struggling. Doesn't suprise me if it goes, can't seem to get a succesful restaurant there, a few have tried.

Wasn't the best.. Had a good night, but that was mainly down to the excellent beers they had on. Think I had every lager on the menu.. Worse for wear this morning!boltonboris wrote:Going to Albert's Shed in Didsbury tonight.. Anyone been?
Nose bag was alright, nowt spesh for the prices they charge.. They looked great, but they're a bit more style than substance. Room was one of those 4 white walls, made to look "stylish" with dim blue lighting.. I feckin' hate that pretentious shit. Just put some lights on FFS! It's not a motel.....

Bruce, have you had the pleasure of eating a Manchester Egg yet? I reckon it'd be right up your street

When you're next in Manchester pop into the Mark Addy.. Only a few quid and they're fantastic.
