Sage butter? I guess thats the "classic".Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Homemade spinach & ricotta ravioli tonight. Not decided on the sauce yet. Any suggestions?
Personally I'd prefer a nice light tomato sauce.

I normally do the sage butter thing, just fancy something different for a change. I shall procrastinate some more I think...BWFC_Insane wrote:Sage butter? I guess thats the "classic".Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Homemade spinach & ricotta ravioli tonight. Not decided on the sauce yet. Any suggestions?

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
The last few weeks I have embarked on the 5/2 diet or 'Fast' diet.
I wanted to lose about half a stone to assist me in my overall running and fitness. The way it works is that for two days a week you reduce your calorific intake by 3/4. So for a man whose average intake is 2400 calories I can eat 600 calories only. For a woman (2,000 calories) she can eat 500. For the other five days you eat normally.
My fast days are on the day I'm not training so I don't get too weak.
So today for instance I had a sachet of Porridge (99 calories) with a teaspoon of honey (25). A bushel of celery (500g) has kept me going so far (35 cals.) With special green tea sachets x 4 (1 cal per bag) my intake so far has been 163 calories. This means that for my dinner I can have half a pot of Soup (50) two slices of bread (100) and two yoghurts (230) to bring up the 600 (more or less)
It is a challenge to keep down to that but I have managed to drop 8 pounds so far. I am doing this for one more week and then next week I will go to 6/1 just to maintain the weight but not to lose any more.
I don't know if it will help me get faster but being lighter means I've less bulk to drag round. We'll see what happens.

You're skinny as a rake! You don't need to lose weight. I however have eaten today 3 huge chocolate cookies and will turn into a right porker if i don;t get exercising.Gary the Enfield wrote:The last few weeks I have embarked on the 5/2 diet or 'Fast' diet.

I know. But I can AFFORD to, which is the difference. This diet gets the body using up fat stores on fast days. Like I say it's a little experiment which won't kill me whether it works or not.
