Today I'm neither Angry nor Happy about....

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

What he means is the General is getting really old and slow.

Just a bit sad to see they've changed the name of The Lamb on Halliwell (forgotten what to). Noticed when we went past a couple of week ago. My first serious local and the scene of many good nights, pints, darts, cards etc , and some wonderful laughs over the years. Also one of the main stops on the Halliwell Mile pub crawl. :(

Having been away for a weekend, I didnt realise what hard work it is to catch up with all the posts that've been posted since Friday. :|
Reading them all is seriously interfering with proper work :|

Don't try humour in print to people you don't know.

A woman, Mrs Robinson, made a complaint to her bank. An employee e-mailed back to her, starting with: "Dear Mrs Robinson, Jesus loves you more than you will know". She complained to his superiors, , he got fired.

If he'd have got the lyrics right, maybe she'd have found it funny!

...being reminded of Sefton as I read the newspaper this morning. That and the fact it was nearly thirty years ago. Seems like only yesterday.

Pretty gruesome story.

Fairly gruesome all round. They took 38 pieces of shrapnel, mostly from six inch nails, out of his head. I'm amazed the horse even survived, let alone recovered.

Arrived in work this morning to find a slim brown envelope on my desk. Congratulations you are being made redundant on the 31st December. Happy New year to me! :pissed:

I'm sat here not really sure what I think, but a little more excited by the possibility than depressed by the news.

If you've been there a while, you're laughing!

Were you expecting it?

Classy. Didn't they have the balls to tell you to your face, rather than relying on some HR letter?

Assuming you don't work in a 2 man office type thing, aren't you supposed to get a notice of risk of redundancy before they can do the deed?

What a bunch of fecking cowards. Surely if your job is redundant it's already redundant? Hope you've been there a while pal and are due a substantial amount.
