Cheers BP, tbh hard work is the only department I really excel in, im not intelligent in the slightest so have to make up for it by working my b**locks of. Mind you it feels so much better to achieve something when you have had to run through walls to get there and its clear that you have worked hard.Burnden Paddock wrote:You're right, ethics is largely common sense. Think it only hit me this morning tbh. I woke up and realised that never again will I have to drag myself out of bed and study for hours on end at the weekend!
Still have to finish off my performance objectives and the ethics module, but that's pretty much a formality.
No. More. Exams!. Are your exams computer based or hand written BP?
The papers are 3 hours long and all hand written, young Daniel, as was AAT when I did it. Tbh they always seem to be the quickest 3 hours ever. It's amazing how quickly the time seems to pass.
The professional papers are also a massive step up in both knowledge and time commitment. If you're prepared to put in the work, you should be ok. Good luck!

Rang Dell over the weekend after the plastic bit on the end of the optical drive on my laptop fell off. They were claiming it was wear and tear, I argued that was nonsense. My Dad said to tell them that 'we will submit an N1 form to the county court', whatever that means, and they rang back today having miraculously changed their minds. Justice.

The world's gone mad I'm telling yous. I've just picked up 'my' free 32" flat screen plasma TV. And all just because my wife got a 24 month mobile phone contract and she chose not to get the most expensive phone possible...

I'm having a corker of a day today. It's 5 years to the day since I had my first date with Not Mrs Bob. Despite the suspicion and doubt aroused by my ordering a slim line tonic (Yes, I know, but I was driving!) we've had a great, fun filled time.
I've been trying to get a visa sorted for friends to visit from Belarus. Hoboh will be pleased to know that its been an absolute nightmare. You would not believe the information they require - bank statements, pay slips, reference letters, copies of every piece of paper in my filing cabinet, more or less. And lots of money. Thankfully, a charity we have been involved with in the past can sort it with no problems and also book the flights. One happy Wanderer.

No. It's just ten days, but the fact that she has ben here twice and not over stayed her visa apparently cuts no ice.
The fact that she's 27, size 8 and blonde will also probably ensure that if she is planning an asylum claim, she won't be staying at our house whilst making it................

Yeay. Matey's just been told that he has to go and work for a month in New York, which means he gets a free apartment for the duration, which means that I get to feck off to New York for a long weekend or so for the price of my flights and a bit o' spends only

Hope you have a good time Bruce and hope you don't miss our only win of 2014, whenever that is going to be.

Dan's post put fear into me that I just might, so have penciled in 3rd to 7th March instead. No match, see?!

Not been before so it'll all be shiny and new to me.
I'd better just check Dan's Tourist's Companion first though.

New York is amazing, I spent all the time we were there just craning my neck in awe staring up at the huge buildings. But then I do get a bit giddy going to London.

You'd have to crane your neck to step up on the kerb.

No matter how tempting, the midnight stroll in Central Park should probably be avoided. However, you'll find a ton of things to do at any hour of the day and night. Museums, theatre, music, sporting events..... a long weekend will not be enough.Bruce Rioja wrote:Wandering around the place and looking up a lot, I'd imagine.Harry Genshaw wrote:Well Jel as da yoof say. Looking like Monday to Friday now, Monty, but yes - I can imagine I'll get a taste for it and then be impatient to return at a later date.Montreal Wanderer wrote:a long weekend will not be enough.

And I'd be disappointed if it's anything but.
