Re: Today I'm happy about......
You have got it in one there HG, my sister has the same ethic but when she missed a few days of following my mothers death despite me dad calling her school she still got sh*t from teachers when she went back for missing unimportant lessons.Harry Genshaw wrote:Well done Dan. That work ethic will stand you in good stead in future years. Until that is, you have to take time off for something serious, then the HR Nazis will be after youdanhorwich wrote:I found out today that I am only person on any of the 3 accountancy courses in my college to have an 100%
attendance record and I have had to deal with some nasty bugs just as everyone has. The difference is that we haven't had decent heating in our house(because its an old house) for the last year and the mould had a go all Winter until I did something about it so I therefore am immune to the wet, the damp and the cold.
I think my generation is a lot less inclined to go to work/college if they feel unwell. My motto is if I can move
im going. Simple as that.

Ahhh, I thought you meant YOU were happy about sperm. I was slightly bemused and not a little worried...bobo the clown wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-26470656
It just appears a little unseemly to dash onto some Court steps, with your mother, and beam like that coz you've got your hands on some sperm.

Jesus, not this thread now. Someone will be going on about making pancakes with it next. Gutted for the woman she got hold of it a day late!

That's such a middle England response to that story !!

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Yesterday was the best Awayday I have ever been on, we stuffed the Saville's 5-1 at their own ground but the real highlight was when I was strolling back to the station from the ground not 100% sure where I was going so asked some Bolton fans if they were going to the station, I straight away recognized one of them but I couldn't remember where exactly I new him from, I mentioned I lived in just outside Reading and the lad who I recognised said he also used live just outside Reading, then it clicked I asked what school did he go to and as it turned out we went to the same school in Winnersh as I did, I remember we always used to talk about Bolton outside Sainsbury's until he left Reading in 2011 to move back to Bolton and we lost contact (we had even planned to do some games together and everything). So to bump into to him today as I was walking past the bridge by Elland Road was nothing short of redicoulas. I tell you what its a very small world. Him and his mates were completely shocked when we started reminiscing about days at school and all the teachers we hate.

Not Mrs Bob's folks have a villa tucked away in a little village called moncarapacho. Incredibly peaceful and about 30 minutes from Tavira. Even better, flights are from Blackpool

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm counting down the days to my trip to Marbella with 9 former colleagues who, like me, were made redundant last October. Sadly, as I don't play golf, I'll be carrying the bags while they all get frustrated having Hamlet moments (one for the older posters) in the less than generous Andalucian bunkers

Do the Mechanics still play thete. Their pitch used to be at the end of the runway. Weird that was as I lined up to take a penalty & suddenly a bloody plane took off over my shoulder !!
