Sat in the garden of our Welsh cottage looking out at the sea in glorious sunshine. A win tonight and life could not be more perfect :pissed:

Just back in from a two hour walk along the beach with the dogs. Warm sunshine has just added to the inner glow I've got from receiving an invitation to a friend's wedding in Belarus in July. Today has been a good day.

Wife called at Bolton fruit and veg market today for some vine tomatoes. . It was also general market day and, as she passed a stall, she saw on sale.........dark chocolate Bounty bars. They may still be available, but I haven't seen them for ages and they're the only way I ever eat coconut, which I normally can't stand. Bought me half-a-dozen bars, well chuffed.. ..They seem to be from the Nederlands from the label and the sell by date is June.

Well, when in Dam you'd keep a few in your pockets anyway as an emergency fall-back for when between FEBO outlets - I'm told

Just been treated to an aerial display outside our offices (near Elstree Aerodrome) of a Spitfire or Hurricane (apologies for not knowing the difference).

Loop the loops and aerial twists and dive bombing the ground it was just a joy to watch (and listen to). The pilot was obviously enjoying himself too.

Simply. Wonderful.

On the models I built some fifty years ago the Hurricane had squared-off wing tips while the Spitfire had rounded ones. Of course my memory could be faulty. I'm surprised either is still flying today...

Not many left Monty sadly. This was a Spitfire based on your description. Like this:

The difference is an elliptical wing on the Spitfire. Both have rounded wing-ends. The Messerschmidt 109 had squared off wing tips.

It looked like the picture. And only a couple of hundred feet above us.

Anyway I've moved on now. Happy that I've bought these:

I was looking at running shoes but, meh.
