You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

By gas, are you referring to natural gas and not petrol? Petrol prices here are now about half what they rose to last summer. We now pay around Can $0.75 per litre - about 43p per litre. What are your prices these days?Lord Kangana wrote:They just sent me a ruddy text message to this effect. Must be a lot of tax on that - like 80% of it. Our pumps actually give the price and the various taxes so we know whom to blame.Lord Kangana wrote:Was referring to natural gas Monty. Petrol (from petroleum spirit I believe ) or gas as you guys call it is hovering around 85p a litre.

Not that far away from the truth there, Monty. It's a ridiculously high tax rake here on petrol.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Must be a lot of tax on that - like 80% of it. We got up to $1.40 last summer, but it dropped like a stone with the October/November financial meltdown. The price of oil per barrel is almost below the point where we (Canada) can produce it economically although we have the second highest amount of known oil reserves in the world after Saudi Arabia.Lord Kangana wrote:It got up to 112p before christmas. That hurt.
