If a judge was going to be replaced, it should have been Tonioli. Two women judges then, once good cop, one bad cop.

It's being reported that the BBC has sent out a message telling the dancers not to comment on 'Dixongate' and pretend all is well in Strictlyland.

Getting them to laugh at Brucie's gags might be a taller order...still he beats human grand national runner Tess Daly.

That could have been me. Endearing/brilliant laugh aside she's a nice girl and probably secretly agrees she's been promoted above her ability.

Oh, I do wish you hadn't shown me that. My only defence is blame his mother.

People calling for Anton Du Beke to be sacked for using the word 'paki' off air.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvan ... -Beke.html

Seems rather over the top... obviously we should try and avoid language that has racist undertones, but surely this was harmless enough.

I'd be intrigued to know how many of those complaints were by asian people.

Intent to offend or not, in jest or not, in whatever context, what an incredibly stupid thing to say.

But I can't see how people can be able to complain to the BBC over something said off-air. It wasn't broadcast, after all.

If he'd said it in a football stadium it'd be a more serious matter, or am I just cynical.

Indeed it would. Also, regardless of who heard him say it, it was still said, he still used the term 'Paki' wether in jest or not. If I said it work, I'd be in for a bol**king

Du Beke made a very silly error. He admitted that, appologised to the person concerned. She accepted his apology and their relationship isn't affected by it. Should be matter closed as it's no one else's business.

It all happened a fortnight previously and would have been all over with...except someone saw fit to leak it to the press at that time and suddenly it was outrage time. Sorry, but human error will happen. Let he/she who is without sin etc. I've seen the same thing happen personally and one guy's life ruined by a moment of temper. Put it to bed. At times like this a lot of very moralistic people with short memories appear on the scene.

He should be sacked, no messing about.

Aye agree. Had he said it live on air, different matter. But as a private "joke" where it seems no offense was taken, then what the hell does that have to do with anyone else?

Ha! Ha! Ha!

What an absolute mindfuck of a programme that is.
It's completely devoid of any semblence of intelligence.

Bruno, you disappoint me to the point of despair sometimes.

On a lighter note my daughter once asked me if a racist drove racing cars.
