Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Hey Dujon. See our girls are playing Flanagan's Fliers in the womens hockey final. :D
I first copped this sport in the Olympics and it's good watching. Penalty shoot outs are ace, ref blows the whistle and the shooter runs the ball at goal while the goalie dashes out and tries to flatten them. England just won against the Kiwi ponytails after one of these. We were leading with ninety seconds to go and they equalised (typical Bolton and England football strategy). This one's for the gold and silver medals. Worth watching just to see Anna Flanagan even for old codgers like us.

Come on you Whites....

I wouldn't presume to present an argument against your point of view, TANGO. I like hockey as a spectator (I played it for one season) and the ladies, apart from being fit, are most certainly not there to make up the numbers. Ah well, may the best team win . . . and you enjoy your perving, you dirty old man.

What a fantastic bronze medal in the womens' 5000 metres from forty year old Jo Pavey. Brilliant run against Kenyans half her age.

Amazing performance! One of our chaps did something similar in the 10,000 metres.

At these games? I love it. And our 4x100 metre lads give Usain Bolt a run for the money and take silver. Great finish..( we didn't trouble him really, he won at a canter) :D

Medal table looking good. Might be time for the ex-pats to remind themselves they're Brits. Or better still English if that applies. :-)

Usain Bolt. Clearly a fantastic athlete and an 'entertainer' of sorts but, my own cynical suspicion about most Jamaican athletic success parked to one side for now, does anyone else think he's an overbearing, self-obsessed, rather immature dick ?

Just asking.

He's fine on the track and for half an hour on T.V. Sure wouldn't want his show-off "I love me" company for more than a few minutes. Branson's sure cashed in on him.

On a more normal level, what a performance from the road-race girls. Liizzie Armistead and Emma Pooley took gold and silver. Brilliant tactics and they should both get gold because Pooley did a massive amount of donkey work before Armistead powered through to annahilate the opposition. Fantastic performance in truly awful conditions. Well done the girls....
