Aaaaand done. Two full days to scuttle them. 411 looks too big. But still a sliver.

I think they've batted twice at Cardiff - the other time they hit 674-6 declared in 181 overs (so about what's left in the game) - I know that was a first innings, but they're no slouches - would have preferred a few more runs.

Two full days for them to pick them off in risk-free singles. ;)

Aye - they need to go at less than 2.5 per over...that's why sessions left comes into play. :-)

Feel I Cook something of an apology. It was a terrific delivery by Starc that he managed to land in the shit thus slowing it up and taking it away from the batter, and a fantastic catch low down by Lyon. Fair play. Cook's stroke was actually very good, he just played it before the ball had properly reached him.

He said thanks - I thought the first three wickets were by pretty good balls - couple of the middle order down to rash shots.

Boycott says the Aussies haven't a cat's chance in hell. Time to start worrying I suspect.

In theory, if they knuckle down and don't take risks it's doable over 6 sessions.

In practice, not a cat's.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Wickets get worse with constant use.

Aussies will be looking to save this one.

106 - 5. Aussies playing some of the most needless shots that I think I've ever seen. Did nobody tell them that they had two days to just pick off the badduns? :conf:

Monty - I'm not sure how you can do it (Youtube later, maybe?) but you absolutely have to see Cook catching Haddin off of Moeen. Superb stuff. 151-7 now and we've set an aggressive a field as I think I've ever seen. I'll be amazed if the Aussies can get this past tea.

With Watson gone I think they may just give up... I'll check Youtube (I assume Cook did not use his todger this time... )

Monty, in North America you can stream the tms commentary on YouTube via England cricket. Here. http://youtu.be/khy7FCSehEY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Video highlights are also available hither http://www.espncricinfo.com/the-ashes-2 ... 43963.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And had they not tried hitting stuff that they should've left well alone then they really could've done it. Not to take anything away from our attack but the Aussies decision making has been some of the most ill-disciplined that I can recall. As Worthy pointed out, they only needed something like 2.5 an over. This lot are as far removed from Ricky Ponting's side as I think it's possible to get.

I couldn't find the highlights on that link - a ton of info but all the videos seemed to be of ESPN reporters reporting this and that. Thanks, anyway.
