Not personally but coming from a family that includes a currently serving marine, an ex Para and a RN officer why do you ask?Worthy4England wrote:^^ I did ask that, once before, when snowflakes were being bemoaned. Didn't get an answer that go. Maybe you'll have better luck.
Are we in the land of your not a 'proper fan' unless you go to games?
Had I been required to serve, I would have done, I just chose to serve a five year apprenticeship instead.
I might be old and a bit knackered but if they didn't view me as a liability I'd still go, fcukin' nonsense all this sons and daughters lark, no one forces them to sign up.

That makes all the difference to the possibility of you getting shot. Not a mate, someone my sister married. Ok. I'll call you nearly soldier on that basis. I was sorta expecting Jason Bourne (or TA at the very least).

I have never asked to be called a soldier, it's just a few numb nuts who think you have to serve to have an opinion, played for BWFC much mate?

I understand the need for an armed force Hobes - just in todays day and age we should imo have a scaled down force not dissimilar to say Portugal or Denmark

The Portuguese might all pick up knee injuries after a couple of minutes.

Nearly soldiers don't count. Neither does woulda, coulda, shoulda. Your opinions on snowflakes are not really valid as you don't seem to be able to compare to anything you actually have any first hand experience of - you know as in yourself, Hoboh. I have actually played football. You know experienced it. I'm sometimes supportive of us taking Military action and not critical of any serving "snowflakes", although I do think it's unacceptable to join up, then complain if you're getting shot at.Hoboh wrote:And my brother?Worthy4England wrote:That makes all the difference to the possibility of you getting shot. I don't think you have to serve to have an opinion. But it probably helps when you're spouting shoite about the possible actions of others, should they need to serve. I mean, the reality is you're no different than any other snowflake in reality. Other than you know someone who has served.
Here's to you Captain Nearly-Snowflake.
PS. That's not me denying you an opinion, it's me disagreeing with it.

Snowflakes would never entertain the army and you dammed well know it, the amount of people refusing the call up if it happened now would be startling.

I'm guessing we've had a number of "wars" when you would've been serving age. Guess you just didn't fancy it eh? Just like a snowflake might not.

The "Sainsbury's Kiss-In". I'm fine with people being gay. Their life. But two blokes kissing (I'm ok with that too - their life) - WITH BEARDS. Immoral.
