Today I'm angry about.....

I'll keep this brief as it's exasperated all of us at work today. The people in the lab have been told by this jobsworth that came round that they can no longer have the radio on unless we buy a public entertainment licence or somesuch. I like to think that there's a small corner of Hell reserved for these sorts!

just break the radio. its cheaper buying a new radio everytime they 'catch' you.

Not so much angry myself, but puzzled as to why so many people are so angry over this Gordon Brown letter thingy. I understand the familly's reaction in a difficult, emotional time, but the general public....? I have to say I was suprised he hand wrote every letter. He is partially blind so mistakes are understandable and I think it is commendable he takes the time to write personally to every familly. But oh no, we have to wait for the mistakes. The letter seemed rushed? No shit, he has a country to run. It's organised bullying. There are many reasons policy wise to attack him, but it is indicitive of the micro politics horseshiite days he live in this is the big news.

Agreed 100%. You can add the whole 'not bowing at the centotaph' to that aswell.

Write a hand-written letter and he's "insulting" dead servicemen, send off a spell checked word document and he's a faceless, emotionless nice person. He can't win.

And recording his call when he rings to apologise? Mind-boggling the depths papers will go to.

If anything I imagine this whole episode will probably do more to make Brown more popular than anything. Christ he's only trying his best.
