I'm really impressed, Worthy. Let me know when you fancy a waddle round the PR.Worthy4England wrote:In my case, bit like doubling the high jump bar from 1ft to 2ft...Gary the Enfield wrote:2 minutes is massive off a 5k. Still always goid when you can still knock best part of 2 minutes off a PB.Plenty to go at.

Don't knock it. A pb is a pb. When you see progress you want to do more. You're not gonna turn into HG overnight!Worthy4England wrote:In my case, bit like doubling the high jump bar from 1ft to 2ft...Gary the Enfield wrote:2 minutes is massive off a 5k. No one ever mentioned this malarky could have such dire consequences...Gary the Enfield wrote:Don't knock it. A pb is a pb. When you see progress you want to do more. I shall also be in attendance, but from a spectators perspective. The back injury finally appears to be on the mend, but my calves are properly fooked. I sense another visit to LE's cousin coming on!Bruce Rioja wrote:Me too.Beefheart wrote:I should be there this Sat, was away last weekend.

Looking like a good turnout. I'll see see if I can tempt my portly housemate along. Come on worthy it's perfectly acceptable to walk large parts of it. Or shout abuse on the sidelines and then eat your bodyweight in buffet breakfast!

Re: The athletics/running thread
Thanks all. Not long now.
Re: The athletics/running thread
Didn't make it to the PR in the end. Lost my barcode and the printer was out of ink and then I fancied a lie in anyway but did a 12k run in the afternoon which went well after a pretty crap week of running. The humidity seems to be agitating my asthma. I have also now lost 4 1/2 stone since the start of the year.
