I'm more concerned by the nut jobs who are worried about a Mosque and their hatespeak than some naive bloke who wants to build one.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Personally, I don't understand why he would want to build one there, is it not a bit insensitive?

Only as insensitive as Catholic Churches remaining standing in England during WW2.

I don't fully understand the in's and out's to be able to discuss it. It just seems a little odd to me, and he's not a Muslim.

Is this something new, or is this about the uproar a few years ago about a Ground Zero Mosque, that wasn't a mosque, and wasn't at ground zero?

Tonight I watched Crash. Was OK. Watchable. Didn't quite achieve what it was going for, and had a wank last scene, but was OK.

So it was the Islamic cultural centre with swimming pool and all sorts of other jazz, designed to raise awareness of why not all brown people want to go to heaven in a cloud of limbs and peroxide, half a mile away from ground zero, which caused all this fuss. Some peoples eh....
