Re: General Chit Chat
I believe Gary the Enfield missed the significance of the Prime Minister's statement. Never mind I'll petition the government to enact a bill about it in the next session of parliament.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Isn't it a nice feeling when unexpectedly somebody backs you up. Well, I've got to thank the Prime Minister for doing just that for me, because yesterday he took time out to make an important statement backing me up, and I didn't even vote for him at the last election...Why thank you Dave.David Cameron interrupting his statement to the House about the Levenson Inquiry wrote: The Status Quo is unacceptable

Do you know I saw that and thought of you. How sad is that?

That's sad. On a scale of one to ten where one is not sad at all, and ten is very sad, it'd be a ten.Gary the Enfield wrote:

Re: General Chit Chat
I was woken up last night by a weird sound... at 2:30am
took me a while to work out what it was...
it was my door-bell (not really a bell in the "bing-bong" sense - more of a flakey buzzy sound)
anyway - it was just buzzing - on and on and on - as if someone was standing outside leaning on the button...
I went down - and nervously opened the front door...
nobody there..
and just after I closed the door - it stopped...
I cannot replicate it (as in - making it stick)... weird.... and a little bit spooooooky!

Re: General Chit Chat
Happened to us a few times a couple of years back. Always happened at 3am and the like. Sometimes multiple times in a night. Of course I'd charge out the house in my boxers ready to lamp the scrot pressing the button to find myself alone. Turned out it was a loose connection in the button that occasionally completed the circuit to ring.thebish wrote:I was woken up last night by a weird sound... at 2:30am

Is there anyway that I can stop my central heating from sounding like I have an intruder?
May the bridges I burn light your way

I'm amazed how much I feel cooler weather now. It was 18c first thing this morning and it felt really cold. I might be in the UK for a visit in February and I'm dreading it weather wise.Bruce Rioja wrote:

Don't come. My dog went out for a pee and I've just spent half an hour chiseling her loose from the frozen mound of piss.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:I'm amazed how much I feel cooler weather now.
