There is movement on offer here. The problem is that the pitch is so slow it’s not that hard to play. It’s why Cummings got the most out of the quicks as he is just fast enough to be a nuisance with some lateral movement.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 2:19 pmBuggered up the "day plan" a bit...

Like a few have said the idea that we want to play on sub continental style wickets looking at our attack is an odd one.

There's some, for sure. Landing on the right sixpence to make it count would be good and we've seen a couple. But I doubt batsmen to come are sat there cacking it.

Yeah England are bowling outstandingly well here but it looks highly improbable we have 6 more wickets in us. The pitch is just too slow. Ball getting softer.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 3:09 pmThere's some, for sure. Landing on the right sixpence to make it count would be good and we've seen a couple. Think it’s Australias here sadly.

Or maybe Moeen can do it? An abysmal over but still somehow took a wicket and nearly got another. If he can land it on that spot enough……

I think maybe if Stokes was going to have a dart, now might be the time...

I’d bowl Root on here. A lot. And stokes too if he can at all manage it.
Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
Nah keep the pressure. It's doing just a little bit. Perfect Jimmy and Broad conditions. Beating the bat consistently.
What odds Lyon to get the winning runs off Stokes?

Couple keeping low, if I'm not mistaken. Still needs to be won...

It’s doing a bit but is too slow for Jimmy and Broad to look like running through them.
I’d like to see Root bowl.

Fair play to Khawaja. Batted very well both innings. If anyone asks I'll deny I said that!

A real slip and lip situation now. Needs somebody to make a mistake.

Can’t see it. These two are too comfortable. With a Wood maybe we have a point of difference to get a wicket or two from nowhere. But it’s always been my fear. This attack is too blunt on a pitch like this.
Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
I don't get your hyperbole
I can get as far as they look good and are favourites. But "can't see it"? Good grief.
Think we need wickets fairly quickly though. If we can get at the tail when they still need 50+ we're right in it.

Just imagine the world with all those upsides, when the ultimate disaster doesn't happen!
Whatever happens here on in, it's been a "fine margins" match.
