Gloomy skies around Lords for Day 3. I'm thinking we might need a lot more of this.
We've bowled pretty well day 2 and 3, without much luck and even when you look at day 1, they were 198-3 when we "bowled shit" - we were 208-3 against their world class attack. We lost our last 7 for 103, they lost their last 7 for 100. Main difference is the Smith/Head partnership in their first innings...

But it's looking a bit bleak....
It's sorta making me a bit more miffed how we got beat in 1st test with 2 wickets to get.

Cricviz reckons they should be 130-5. Think we bowled pretty well yesterday without much luck, but a 220 lead with 5 to get mighta made it a bit more interesting.
That said, I wouldn't be expecting too many driveable balls second innings. I'd be stunned if they didn't go all out short for a decent chunk and some of our heroes will likely be judged on their merits as to whether they're genuine test class or T20 thrashers, repurposed.

Yeah. Short stuff in the wrong place just shags you out quicker. But at the pace we're bowling them, Khawaja typically has about a week to get out of the way, too, even when it's near the right spot. But we have to try something.
