Walking back into work at dinnertime, and some dickhead car passenger threw a sandwich out of his window. splat. back of me head. OK, it didn't hurt, but could have if it was something other than cheese and pickle. But I'm still royally pissed off. If it was you it wasn't funny; if I find out who you are, I'll find out where you live, and then I'm going to come round and tattoo your face with dirty gravel and make you look like Tevez.

May the bridges I burn light your way

I'm not angry, more I'm astounded, yet again, as to why anybody feels the need to get het up about anything that comes out of the mouth of Jeremy Clarkson.

Did you see that last night? It was cringe worthy, and as much the fault of the One Show producers as him.Prufrock wrote:I'm not angry, more I'm astounded, yet again, as to why anybody feels the need to get het up about anything that comes out of the mouth of Jeremy Clarkson.
They introduced Clarkson as someone who wasn't afraid to speak his mind, and who always had a controversial opinion etc.
It was built up like they were expected an extreme opinion and as much as anything he thought that was what they were expecting too. Then the opening question was to ask him to about the strikes. What did they think he was going to say?
He's a prick but they shouldn't have gone anywhere near that line of questioning.
Reaction to it all today is piss funny though.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
It's not even just that. He's a bloke off a car show, who likes saying controversial things, and yet people get all annoyed when he says controversial stuff. If Boris, or Cameron had said it, fair enough, but it's Jeremy fecking Clarkson!Worthy4England wrote:He was asked to give HIS opinion, which he did.

Ermm not quite sure I'd go along with that. Being a bloke from a car show who says controversial stuff doesn't give you the right to say stuff and expect no reaction and or consequence!Prufrock wrote:It's not even just that. After all 80 odd years ago it was just a funny little man with a moustache saying controversial stuff. He just gave his opinion as well....

I think you need to differentiate between "wind-up" and "world domination", I know some might consider them fairly close, but the man with the moustache actually went out and shot people.BWFC_Insane wrote:Ermm not quite sure I'd go along with that. Get a grip.
But if he'd said it about Blacks, Jews or Muslims then he'd be censored. And rightly so.
What he said was pretty silly, even if in jest. And I'm not sure being grossly offensive to large groups of people whether in jest or not is acceptable. If he'd said "I don't agree with them" thats one thing saying "I'd have them shot" or whatever, is going too far even as a joke in my book!
Not that I'm angry about it....just think it was a stupid thing to say!
