And another one. It’s unbelievable. Just bowl down the leg side and we will be out. Trouble.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
I think it’s the point that Bairstow needs to get in and then these two need to be aggressive. It’s a pitch where you aren’t ever properly in and I think being two wickets away from big trouble means we need to take the game to them. Without being ridiculous. They need to see those runs ticking down quicker than they are.

It’s just the extra pace they have isn’t it? They keep coming high 80’s and where we’d be smashing other teams round the park we can’t quite do it and nor do we have the defence to see them out either.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 2:20 pmRotten shot. Yes (and better quality spin when Lyon playing). I think we can take a game away quite quickly against "average" bit trickier against the very best. The main differences between this and shorter form, are they can set the fields they want and bowl as many overs as they want. Margin for error is a lot narrower. This is another tight margin game...BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 2:27 pmIt’s just the extra pace they have isn’t it? Cricviz has England 85%. It sure don't feel that way with 40 left to get.

Nowhere near. I’d be much less worried if Stokes was in. But Brook is getting too edgy for me. He needs to just keep getting the singles and twos for now. No need to do anything more.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 3:04 pmCricviz has England 85%. It sure don't feel that way with 40 left to get.

And exactly that. What on earth were you doing Brook?
We can’t just dominate and close games out. Same time and time and time again.

I never felt he looked like he could just calmly see it out. Too keen to hit a shot with the field all out. Singles for two more overs and it was done.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 3:25 pmBrooks batted well, looked classy. Then rolled out another village...

Great win. It's been really pretty close all three so far. On to OT.

Jimmy for Robinson. Will happen.
For me Foakes for Bairstow. Should happen. Probably won’t.

A-m-a -z-i-n-g, Not Root, Ben Stokes or Bairstow but a 48 partnership from Woakes and Wood saw us through the tape, and that great innings from Harry Brook. Magnificent tension, but that's Ashes cricket. Same again next test lads...

I wouldn't turn down a win by an innings and... TD, but another great match.

I could go for either. Both absolutely made a big difference with bat and ball. But Wood quite dramatically first innings with the ball.
