am making a new set of nested-stackable hurdles for my mum's dog-training club (they do working dog trials - and part of it is a kind of long jump over some hurdles - pic below of what I mean)

anyway - am making them out sheets of exterior ply...

went to b&q to get the play and had the brainwave of asking the cutting corner bloke to do some cutting for me.

he practically did it all - all edges totally straight and not all wobbly as they would have been with my jigsaw!

saved me tons of work - and all free of charge! all I have to do is cut out the end pieces and screw together.. err... then undercoat and paint them...

First stop is derwent water where the 617 dambusters squadron spent six weeks prior to the raid training on the Dam there because it resembled the German ones, then Holmfrith via a road where at the top you can see the whole of Yorkshire (West and North) into Huddersfield then back over the pennines
Dear, dear mate. You do shoot yourself in the foot. You have a glorious opportunity to be cultural and mention, Beatrix Potter, Jemima Puddleduck and the Lakeland poets. What do you post about, the fxxxing "Dambusters"....
Well at the outdoor centre there was ducks so we fed them a bit of chicken tikka pasty.

Sure did

That road is absolutly awesome, it would take you hours bish, I suspect the camera would be overworked. At one point you can see the sea nestling between the fells. You want to run down it on Google maps at street level the arched railway viaduct is awesome.
Add all that to the fact you can really motor in places round the twisties due to being able to see the road miles in front in a lot of cases, you can see any traffic and be able to use the whole road, I actually pined a little for the ZX6-R only a little mind, the cruiser was fun and more comfortable.
I forgot to add the road surface on the whole is ver good, far better than anything to do with the fat controller around these parts.

Well you do need a good reason to travel to Scunthorpe.

Ah Scunny. Had some seriously odd times in that town. The council there set up their IT firewall then couldn't understand how they were unable to receive any emails or indeed, why all outgoing emails were blocked. Took them a while. :D

Haha. I still think that people who text/email into radio 1 and mention they're from that particular town are automatically deleted due to the station's text-reading program.

I did have an employee once referred to me by IT security because he was constantly accessing Sex sites.

It seemed an odd fit with this guy & on a closer review I saw that his overwhelming interest in cricket meant he had regularly visited Essex and Middlesex CC sits.

Still far too much work time dossing about, but not dodgy stuff. Unless a getting a tickle to mid-wicket wasn't what I thought it was.

Sausage making day. Might seem strange to some, but home made sausages are much nicer than shop bought ones and much healthier - meaning I can eat more of them

Trying to do a good cumberland, but so far not got it right. Some of the 'accidents' on the way have been very good though and are now new invented varieties! If you've a mincer, something to grind spices and some drug dealer scales, you should give it a go.

You can get gadgets for that and some mincers come with them. I sometimes don't bother with skins and make meatballs to add to pasta, or patties for a sandwich. You can get skins etc on Amazon, or I use Weschenfelder. I started with their seasoning mixes, but make my own now. Once you get the hang of it there is no going back as the results are so much better and with none of the crap and additives.
