In my experience you either like it or you're a f*cking weirdo.Prufrock wrote:Watched Clerks for the first time in about 8 years last night. I loved that film first time I saw it. I feel old.
Micmacs tonight. No pressure LK.

I'm a weirdo.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

Enjoyed This Is England 88, it has come so far away from the original film that its barely recognisable but I still really enjoyed it. You get the feeling that like in 86, its going to be bleak and uneventul (not in a bad way) and then youre going to get hit with something terrible in the final episode.
Shane Meadows has said 88 is really a stepping stone to the 1990 finale but he couldnt do 90 without getting these stories out of the way first, cant wait for all of it!

So I found Disney's The Black Cauldron for $16.
I got dogged around.
The other two dvds are Seasons 2&3 and 4&5 of Viva La Bam.
Its like another world.
This got paid off today

Might have to try to set up the DVD Player

Felt like the bleakness was ever so slightly broken/contrasted up by the posh bloke with olives house, which is a good thing in my book.
Bleak is good but needs some contrast....

In that case I don't want to give too much away, but I will say that I was surprised to find that the whole gang have transformed into a travelling song 'n dance troupe and the show is basically now an 80s version of Glee.thebish wrote:seconded! no spoilers as I have it recorded and probably won't have time to watch it until after christmas!!Bruce Rioja wrote:Have taped so don't ruin it, you!!!!!

Yeah and the way the plane crashed onto the deserted island and they now don't know whether they are alive, in a parallel universe, in hell or in some kind of weird afterlife.CrazyHorse wrote:In that case I don't want to give too much away, but I will say that I was surprised to find that the whole gang have transformed into a travelling song 'n dance troupe and the show is basically now an 80s version of Glee.thebish wrote:seconded! no spoilers as I have it recorded and probably won't have time to watch it until after christmas!!Bruce Rioja wrote:Have taped so don't ruin it, you!!!!!
