Car insurance just come through and I've just had a quote online for a better package, £60 cheaper than my current providers (its actually £20 cheaper than last years) and present insurers have said find it cheaper and we will beat it! they (Saga) can feck off I want the best price available first time not be part of a feckin' auction!
My dad got his Saga renewal which was massively ramped up, so he asked to speak to one of the actuaries to querie how they'd managed this for a man with a zillion years no-claims and no notable change of circumstance. Piss take is this, I mean buy a ticket for a baby? someone wants putting up against the wall but then again I suppose its down to the greedy Athletic mob rip off the taxpayer rip off the punters :(
Absolutely it is Hoboh......................and they do exactly the same at the Reebok. A friend of mine had to buy a ticket for his son from 6 months old. On querying this, he was told that the Taylor report stated categorically that all fans must have a seat so they were just following the rules

Got my car insurance renewal through yesterday. Gone up by 50%.

Rang up queried it they said "premiums have gone up across the board blah blah blah".

Said "well I'm on a price comparison now and they are quoting less than half what you are"...went through some details and suddenly I'm paying less than I was 5 years ago.

Result.

So cheers LK. Was about to go through the hassle of switching. Which as it turns out I didn't need to do.

Those supposed easy open lids on Pre-packaged food. I don't think a single one of them has ever easy opened for me.
I've just tackled an Asda salad for my dinner now; it took me twenty minutes to get into the bastard thing.

8) I love how on those adverts for muller fruit corners they peel back the lid in one easy piece - one-handed!!!

I have NEVER managed to get one of those lids off in a single piece - let along one-handed!

You need more practice with your peeling hand. I recommend Onanism.

People who give you change that is placed on top of the receipt?

Why? FFS!

In what world does that make things easier?

Don't get it. Why does that make you angry, and why would you prefer the receipt on top of the change? You still have to count the change, and pocket the receipt. Maybe you'd like the receipt in one hand and the change in the other? :conf:

I know its my own fault for trying to shop there but why can't I shop at M&S menswear department without 12 foot tall Jamie Redknapp's staring down at me with that insipid grin of his on every wall space?

Coz then you don't have to piss about waiting for old ladies fannying around putting their receipt in a special pocket in their purse which is in a special pocket in their bag while you hang around with £19.77 change for a packet of travel tissues.

I work behind a bar and had a guy have a whinge coz I gave him his coins on his note. Got a job to do flower. Most of the proper folk just leave their money on the bar and I go digging. Good job I'm trustworthy.

I'm half with you on this one.

But to be honest I'd rather start with "would you like a receipt"

Now you just have people with hands full of shopping bags, dropping the change as they try and separate it from the receipt with one hand, holding up the queue instead.

I don't even need the bloody receipt for a coffee unless I'm claiming it back which in this case I wasn't!

Defo with you on the giving you a receipt for everything. Some places even say you get your money back if they don't give you one. For the likes of food and drink you should have to ask for one. As for the money on receipt, if there's a queue, just put it in your pocket and sort it out when you aren't flustered. If you just scrunch it up the receipt holds the change so you know which is what in your pocket!
