 I thought you used the word in a sentence like: "Trading soon-to-be free agent Spotsky for a draft choice makes sense transferwise". I now realize you must be talking about some UK financial concern. As you were.
:D i was re-reading my quote for some terrible Americanism and couldn't find one!

As an aside, have been looking at the economist's style guide today. Part 2...

Trouble is 'anything-wise' tends to be an Americanism. As in "looking at it economicswise...". You should have written TransferWise to make it clear.

Free upgrade to a superior suite in a hotel whose standard rooms are more than good enough to keep me coming back. Off into the gym now as I feel at least two courses at dinner coming on. :D

I woke this morning at a little after 7 and it was almost light outside. Spring is nigh and the nightmare of going to work (when I do) and coming home in the dark is nearly over. This makes me very happy.

Surely, you're going to put it in the "new fence for Calais" fundraiser?

Half a dozen colleagues of mine in similar roles all got tax refunds this week. I came home today hoping to find one behind the door. Nada. 5 minutes later I get a phone call from the company that replaced my garage door last October. They'd realised I still owed them £240

Yesterday (12th) brought into the world Mr and Mrs Dujon's second granddaughter. Mother and child doing well and father in shock. She was induced two weeks early due to her mother suffering from 'pregnancy diabetes' (which is something of which I've never heard). Any old way, cheers! :drink:

Thanks, chaps. No congratulations required, it was nowt to do with me. Honest Guv it weren't.

I stand corrected: On talking to my son today when he took us two down to see the baby he advised that it's gestational diabetes and not as I stated. :conf:

Her name, by the way, is a palindrome. In a few years time that's a word she'll never forget.

Palindrome is an unusual name for a girl.

It'd be apt, though, malc - most women don't seem to know whether they're coming or going.
