The azaleas have been and gone, Tango. Bloomed early. It's unseasonally hot even by Georgia standards. Don't be surprised if plenty have magically re-bloomed tomorrow thoughTANGODANCER wrote:It was more sort of a personal camera wander amongst all those azaleas etc....Worthy4England wrote:http://www.masters.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;TANGODANCER wrote:Any chance of a few pics of the venue Bruce?

Phone sales: "Good morning, is that Mr xxxxxx? How are you this morning? I'm calling because "Our records show" that your house at blah, blah, blah, ....
"Still has wooden window frames and doors."
"Hasn't had loft insulation."
"May not comply with current electrical standards"
"Your computer has viruses"
Well, to all of you: My house has modern window frames and doors, has loft and cavity insulation, was completely re-wired two and a half years ago and Mr Kahn is a conman, so get your records up to date and fxck off.

Well, they want to store all our emails don't you know, hence the ace campaign to 'cc' all emails on a certain day to Theresa May!

I know. That's what pxsses me off, the intelligence insulting. Such an obvious con trick. I've had double glazed modern windows and doors way back.thebish wrote:TANGODANCER wrote:Phone sales: "Good morning, is that Mr xxxxxx? How are you this morning? Git - "I would just like you to take part in a survey ..."
BtC - "What is it you're selling ?"
Git - "Oh, nothing sir, it's just a survey ..."
BtC - "Well, no ... that's not correct, is it .... you are planning to sell me something, aren't you ?"
Git - "No, no, no .... it's just some questions .... You have indicated that you were interested ..."
BtC - "Have I ? When ?"
Git - "When sir ? When what ?"
BtC - "When did I indicate I was interested ?"
Git - "It will have been on something you signed".
BtC - "Signed ? ... I can't write ?"
Git - "Really ? Well some box you ticked"
.... and it it trundled, quite merrily uintil after about 3 minutes he simply hung up. Which was a shame as we'd already struck up a bit of a relationship. He was called Tony ... & he lived "quite near me". Which was good, as he had NO idea where Chester was, referred to my county as Clwyd, which disapperated about 8 years ago AND (link to other thread) he kept referring to me by me unused name.
I'm angry now, because I'm sad that our friendship may have faltered.

Whenever anyone one 'phones for Alan (and is not from an institution such as bank or tax department that I deal with) I just say he is not at home. Saves time though it doesn't build relationships.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Ha, ha! Up to yesterday I had been the recipient of only one 'phone call relating to computer viruses. Yesterday I received three, yes 3, from the blasted idiots blathering along in their difficult to understand accents. Maybe it was a childish attempt at pay back after I simply told the first caller that he was a liar.TANGODANCER wrote:Phone sales: "Good morning, is that Mr xxxxxx? How are you this morning? They, who ever 'they' are, must find enough gullible people in their trawling to substantiate their effort - otherwise why would they continue? Unfortunately I suspect that all those taken in by these confidence tricksters also have a vote to cast in our various government elections. It's a worry, it really is.

There is an irony here, Dujon, since I seem to recall a certain terpsichorean poster of our acquaintance was taken in by those very computer virus types. Yet perhaps I misremembered...Dujon wrote:Ha, ha! Up to yesterday I had been the recipient of only one 'phone call relating to computer viruses.
