less busy than Rivington Pike though !malcd1 wrote:On Good Friday. Are you completely insane?Annoyed Grunt wrote:Just been informed we're off to the Trafford Centre..........
(I know I'm out of the loop, but I thought Good Friday was still a largely 'no shops open' day. I suppose the TC transcends such thoughts)
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Loved it as a kid, tho my dad didn't approve. Good Friday was for reflection ... & I lived in blooming Horwich. So always had to sneak out (after 3pm & the 'Stations of the Cross'. Honest)

Unfortunately I suspect that all those taken in by these confidence tricksters also have a vote to cast in our various government elections. It's a worry, it really is.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Tax on hot-cross buns if they come out of the oven warm, is being talked about now?. Our government are just a bunch of buffoons taking us backwards. What next, re-institute the tax on time for anybody owning a clock or watch? Parliament is just a collection of over-paid, over-fed, bone-idle, dim-witted, self-serving wastrels hell-bent on re-creating life in the middle-ages.
There, that's better.

Cold, Tuesday evenings are the one and only time at which that cherub-ridden tack-fest should even be considered so much as a remote option!
Sort it, Col. You're wasting VDT!

I'm more bemused by the fact that shopping is somehow declared a "team event".Bruce Rioja wrote:Has Mrs Grunt taken leave of her senses, man?Annoyed Grunt wrote:Just been informed we're off to the Trafford Centre..........

The appropriate response should be (In AG's case). "Sorry love, I'm doing the garden".
