We as football fans know that Mckarlen is a useless tosser, but the silly old gits at The F.A.don't.

Any more results like this and they might turn to B S A :whack:
If we (aye, still we, can't help being born in England any more than I can being born in Bolton) play like that on March 24th Israel will beat us and we'll be in as bad a situation as when Keegan resigned. McClaren might resign on the spot, knowing that he's in a no-win situation even if England cruise past Andorra four days later. The next qualifier is in June, all in all not a bad time to have to appoint a new manager - particularly one who may think he's taken the club as far as either he can or it can go.

Not sure they'd go for Allardyce, mind - knowing the way the England manager selection process goes ('calculating' Hoddle to 'passionate' Keegan to 'calculating but foreign' Eriksson to 'English' McClaren), they'd go for something as oppositional as possible - perhaps a little old Italian lady, or a Martian.

If we (England) do lose (or draw) in Israel McClaren is a dead man walking and the press will be clamouring for change whether he jumps or is pushed. That will leave two months for Allardyce to impress. Let's hope that this time he does it by buffing up his CV instead of puffing out his chest on TV.
