Like a bit of golf meself. Not played since last summer though when I was playing off about 8. A 79 round Royal Lytham off the back tees was a highlight. Don't play so much with it interfering with me cricket.

Who was it who said "Golf is a good walk spoiled?"

As a result of being rubbish, stressed, and wet, i understand the highlighted line perfectly well  3 wood in the pond at Chorley. Oops
You played nearly every weekend for 4 years and the best you could get to was 33?!

So anyway, does this mean you're a late entry? I'm sure you could talk your playing partners into submission, at any rate!
Hell no! And yes, 33. Not quite every week, if i could think of an excuse to get out of it, i used it! Also Chorley is hard! There's all sorts of ponds and such like, and SAND!!! Who decided SAND would be a good idea?? Golf just was never my game, i can remember four seperate occasions where i managed to hit the ball backwards from the tee. FOUR! Two of which were on the first tee in front of my grandpa who helped run the junior bit. I was woeful. However, if it floats all of y'all's boats, go knock yourselves out, but i shall have to give your ears a rest, i have homework to do (its a reflex reaction to being asked/told to play golf).

Also TD that little aside didnt go unnoticed! I'm watching, and waiting, i'll get you back!!! :D :D ( i was tempted to make a joke about arthritis stopping you throwing or senility meaning you forgot which way round the course went, but i thought i'd not bother so that i could mention them like this, whilst still pretending i owed you a put down!)

Yeah, doesn't really matter as I seem to be joint low, everyone's working off me and the Crayonmeister anyway. I thought you were the dogs sphericals though - or are you scratch and working from that? I sense some skullduggery?

Well then I think you have a good case for being disgruntled!

Though while I'm only 0.6 off receiving my full allocation, I'll keep my trap shut!

I need them though... haven't picked up a club since March. I'm flying home tomorrow though and playing in the afternoon, and then in a competition in Germany on Weds and Thurs, so hopefully I'll have remembered how it all works by Sunday.

Ok, I'd say that looks about fair.

If Mike can bear to take more than a shot a hole from me, that is. ;)

oh and when I say I'm off 11, that means just for the Open, I'm nowhere near that good, but I am reigning champ and know that course like the back of my hand.
