We stayed in Naby Bay, 15 mins drive From Naama Bay which is where the main centre is, we went twice, once by day to snorkel of the beach and once at night, its worth doing once I would say but unless your hotel is pretty dull at night I would not bother again. There is a Hard Rock Café and a TGI’s, plus the usual maccy d’s and kfc. You do get pestered a bit off the shop keepers but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. There are a couple of decent casinos though, but be sure to take your passport and your plastic as you can only play with US dollars so you need to buy them from the cash desk.

During the day though the beaches were chocka, and mostly Russian!

Im trying to think of what trips people in our hotel did, we basically slobbed out all week except a couple of dive trips to the garden reefs, which were quality! Sea water warm as the bath and crystal clear, although the guides can be a bit regimented, I got shouted at for swimming off sometimes, and for jumping off the boat before everyone was ready!

Ras Mohammed is supposed to be the spot for diving though, far more likely to spot dolphins or turtles down there, but you need a visa to go there, as you do if your planning any trips of the Sinai peninsular, like Cairo. Most hotels or travel companies run a trip to Giza, but I didn’t fancy 15 hours on an African bus in the desert, you leave stupid am and get back 24 hours later, basically lose 2 days. You can fly though, but that’s about £200ish, each!

Some people we met did an excursion where they ride way into the desert on camels, they eventually arrive at a bazirr for a bevy and a bite, then they baz it back on quad bikes – they said that was good.

As for the Pharoahs revenge, i could not really say, i always get a leaky arse wherever i go and Egypt was no worse than anywhere else. probably staying away from the water would be a good move but you cant avoid the ice. We ate in TGi's and it was very good, i guess they're used to cooking for western palletes? but the rest of the time it was all inclusive meals at the digs, could not fault it!

Sounds good, am really going for the beach and the pool, but wouldn't mind one or two cultural trips, but you have coinfirmed what I read, its either a day on a bus, or paying through the nose to fly.

Am staying in Sharks bay, hopefully the name is not totally accurate!

Shouldn't that be C cedille, hyphenated with a circumflex in there?

( Ican't be arsed enabling my international keyboard to be incredibly condescending)
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yes, you are quite right (I too have trouble with ASCII escape sequences and just use an English keyboard setting). However I should have taken the time to try:
Ça va, peut-être?

Although I was asking if that was what he actually meant.

At least 4 times that - you wouldn't get a decent villa in Florida for a week for £250, never mind the rest of it!
