Depends how she took it. The fact he had to apologise means he obviously ballsed up and needs to learn some tact. The fact she didn't make a big deal of it, that the bosses haven't sacked him and that there seems to have been no fuss made for a long time suggests he was in fact trying to be funny and completely misjudged it. Not quite sure why there needs to be national outrage....again, except people never seem to be happier than when spouting ill informed rubbish. Harmless when in a thread such as the 'today i'm angry about', not so harmless when it's organised and goes after people's jobs.

I read that it was said in a joke between them and there was no apology. It was only afterwards that he has apologised "in general" for the remark once it became public knowledge.Prufrock wrote:Depends how she took it. I don't think at least based on what I read that he apologised to her as it was a private joke between them during training.
Given from what I can tell she's accepted said 'apology' without a fuss does that mean she didn't take offence at all at the time and the whole thing is a whole crock of sh*t? Or that he did misjudge it, she was offended and he's an idiot, but nothing more? Or she was offended coz it wasn't really a joke and he is a racist and he should be strung up?BWFC_Insane wrote:I read that it was said in a joke between them and there was no apology. That's one of the main problems. Courts take mitigating circumstances into consideration when judging peoples' actions. The outrage outlaws don't seem to. If someone of a different ethnic background called me "White trash" would I be more offended than if he called me a "Motherxxxxing Cxnt"? I can assure you not. I might laugh at the first, but I'd want to part him from his breath for the second. Depends how you see it. One silly slip doesn't make a racist of an otherwise decent bloke. If it did half the nation would be in jail.

One of her songs...'Tears Dry On Their Own' or something.. is a Strictly classic. Presume she'll be peddling something new instead of that though?TANGODANCER wrote:Oh goody. This week's star-spot entertainment is Amy Winehouse and her goddaughter.
