The game of forced family reunions that I often see an Ringway are usually more annoying, if honest.thebish wrote:1. what a great place to fritter away an hour or so - watching a long stream of happy reunions - quite brought a tear to my eye - I might just go there every now and again just to raise my spirits!

Ringway? Bloody hell, you'll be landing at Heston grasping a piece of paper from Herr Hitler next!Bruce Rioja wrote:The game of forced family reunions that I often see an Ringway are usually more annoying, if honest.thebish wrote:1. what a great place to fritter away an hour or so - watching a long stream of happy reunions - quite brought a tear to my eye - I might just go there every now and again just to raise my spirits!

Not tonight, rather tomorrow. The funeral of a young lad who used to be involved with the club I coach, and whom I had the genuine pleasure to coach. He played with my younger brother and is one of those lads you can genuinely say was a good guy, always had a smile on his face. Passed away in his sleep a few days short of his 16th birthday. Utterly horrendous. RIP Mark.

That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

The show was great and showed what a tremendous emerging talent Elizabeth Newman is as a director - 23/4 years old and such boldness and creative vision and dramatic instinct... She's going to be very famous...

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Had another night out in Manchester last night. Meal at Las Iguanos and a few jars in The Bridge and Moon Under the Water.
At the Bridge it was 'Can I have a pint of bitter, a pint of lager, a white wine and soda and a glass of fizzy water no ice, please?
The answer was 'Certainly sir. That'll be £11.50 please.'
One hundred yards away on Deansgate at the Moon it was 'it was 'Can I have a pint of bitter, a pint of lager, a white wine and soda and a glass of fizzy water no ice, please?
And the answer was 'Certainly sir. That'll be £5.50 please.'
John Smiths at the Bridge and Ruddles at the Moon.
Hmmmm.....

I think the second fella added it up wrong. 2 pints and a wine for £5.50 in Manchester? Nah.
