Re: What are you watching tonight?
Your ears/fingers must've been burning. I just said to someone here that a guy that I 'know', that knows a good plate of food, has said t that this girl'll win it since way back in the series. Have to agree with you. The three of them are brilliant but it just seems that what she's doing is that little bit special. Would've loved to have seen that big bastard bouncer from Salford win it thoughBWFC_Insane wrote:Who is your tip for winning? I think the girl meself....Bruce Rioja wrote:Final bout of the final three on Masterchef tonight. Think I'll have parsnip veloute and tuile biscuits for tea

Has anyone given that Dustin Hoffman racing drama a go on Atlantic? Got them all on the planner but not started them yet. Not sure if I can be arsed with it.
Any good?

Gave up on it CH. Some of the dialogue was indecipherable. I did break CAPS rule and gave up on it half way through the 2nd one. Perhaps he can give a fuller review?CrazyHorse wrote:Has anyone given that Dustin Hoffman racing drama a go on Atlantic? Got them all on the planner but not started them yet. I've watched 3, I think
I do agree that the dialogue can be hard work, but, as with The Wire, you just have to plough on
nb I did give up on Tremé 15 minutes in

Glad I've got Watchdog on. Wouldn't want to feel rumbled by 23p on a jar of curry sauce at Asda. These people are fecking lifesavers.

Isn't it? I doubt I'll even bother then.jmjhb wrote:No point carrying on with Luck, it's not getting a second season
I wish I'd given up on Tremé after 15 minutes too. Persevered with half a season of that shite, hoping that every episode would be the one where something actually happened. It never did.
Eight bastard shows and the only story progression was that one of the characters had their trombone smashed up by the police.

Sin City tonight. Somehow never seen beyond first half hour.
Have Drive, also courtesy of the good people at LF, but I'd got all excited about it and then someone on here ruined it!

Yup, this. It's a top achievement.General Mannerheim wrote:dont listen to anybody - Drive is immense, melon farming immense.
Anyone who liked it could check out Valhall Rising, by the same director. The films are chalk and cheese but they're both drenched in style, plenty of visual flourish and have somewhat er, standoffish main characters.
Bronson is probably the most difficult of his films to get through but this Winding Refn lad is a director to watch.
