it is. the main focus is on Guy Martin, hes a right character! been a fan for a while through his connection with mountain biking but he also did a TV documentary series where him and his mate renovated a narrow boat. was quality.

Didn't realise the the presenter of The King and the Playwright was James Shapiro, author of 1599, the single most accessible, engaging and enjoyable account of Shakespeare at the time when The Globe is built on the South bank and, thus, the writer escapes the censorship of the City of London...

This was excellent - the time when Shakespeare tries to come to grips with the new monarchy and he writes Measure for Measure and King Lear in which monarchy veers from duplicitous to old and foolish... but still honourable and at heart good... (wise man, Shakespeare, unlike other playwrights, always escaped the dungeons...).

I know there are some who share my interest in the great poet - so do not miss the next two eps... And, if you haven't already... read 1599 :D

Difficult call. If put to gunpoint then I'd say the dream.

Strange ending.. But I'm guessing that's the sort of 'demon' that they talk about behind The Wall.

They said that we'd see more of the creatures this series..

Watched something on Sky Plus.
Got up to get a drink, sat back down and watched the news, only to realise after nearly half an hour that it was the news following this programme i'd just watched, recorded about 6 weeks ago.

On the plus side...supposed to be warm & sunny tomorrow, according to the weather :?

I watched that too and as many have i've sadly witnessed first hand the crippling impact of dementia. It may not be painful for the sufferer but the family certainly do suffer and after seeing my uncle not recognise any of his family for the final 3 years of his life (and was often physically violent too) was difficult to cope with.

I watched The Guard... Brendan Gleeson the perfect actor he is... so good... Some of the dialogue showed the influence - for the good - of the simply-brilliant Martin McDonagh (In Bruges)... Dishonestly brings in an American cop in a blatant and - i hope - failed attempt to get US and world wide attention... I don't mind them wanting that, I do mind them feckin up their own idea in vain (I suspect) pursuit of a winner... But worth watching because Gleeson is brilliant in this and everything he does...

Followed by QT... Nice to see the Tories on toast for most of the hour...

I'd like to be really close friends with Polly Toynbee...

Guard is on high priority on my LF list. Looks ace. Gleeson is amazing.
